Developer - core banking - Cobol/RPG

The Developer (COBOL/RPG) will focus on the development and maintenance of core banking applications. The role combines traditional banking systems expertise with modern development practices, offering a structured path for professional growth in the financial technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain core banking applications supporting financial transactions and customer accounts
  • Write clean, efficient code following established banking industry standards and security protocols
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality improvements in banking-specific solutions
  • Support testing activities and defect resolution for mission-critical banking systems
  • Document technical solutions and implementation details for audit compliance
  • Collaborate with senior developers on banking system modernization initiatives

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in software development, preferably in financial sector
  • Basic programming skills in COBOL/RPG with understanding of banking systems
  • Knowledge of core banking operations and transaction processing principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
