Director - IT PMO - 130k

Join as the IT PMO director and play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing IT project delivery while fostering a diverse and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Cevelop and implement a robust IT PMO to enhance oversight and control of IT programmes and projects.
• Strengthen programme/project control mechanisms to ensure successful project delivery within the IT landscape.
• Design and optimize the overall project management model, defining roles, responsibilities, processes, and controls for both IT and key stakeholders.
• Provide direct support for major and strategic IT programmes, ensuring effective planning, risk management, and reporting.
• Define, disseminate, and standardize cross-programme/project best practices, tools, and templates.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for project managers to foster the adoption of project management standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies, focusing on efficiency and quality.
• Promote a culture of trust and respect, fostering diversity and collaboration across teams and departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years in IT Programme Management Office or managing large-scale IT programmes.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is a strong plus.
• Proven experience in multi-national companies, driving implementation and improvement in a corporate context.
• Solid understanding of programme and project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is advantageous.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred; relevant Agile development certification and experience are also desirable.
