A financial services organisation in Hong Kong seeks a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance the resilience of financial systems and safeguard enterprise environments against evolving threats.

Key responsibilities:

As Cybersecurity Engineer, your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.

  • Design and implement security controls across applications infrastructure and cloud environments
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments penetration testing and risk analysis to identify and mitigate threats
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security into system architecture and project lifecycles
  • Monitor detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents with timely escalation and resolution
  • Deploy and integrate cybersecurity solutions aligned with enterprise security policies and compliance standards
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity trends tools and regulatory frameworks relevant to financial services

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring cybersecurity experience in regulated financial environments, hands-on security tool expertise, relevant certifications, strong stakeholder communication, and trilingual fluency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • 5+ years' cybersecurity engineering experience, ideally within financial services or other regulated environments
  • Strong expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection solutions
  • Solid understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and secure software development practices
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent) are highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
