A reputable financial institution seeks a Business Analyst in Hong Kong to drive AI transformation in alternative asset management by shaping workflows, defining requirements, and enabling solution adoption.

Key responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst, you will identify AI opportunities in alternative asset management, define requirements, and support delivery and adoption of secure AI solutions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Use Case Identification: Collaborate with alternative asset management stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements (e.g., problem statements, user journeys, acceptance criteria), and track impact metrics to prioritise AI use cases by value and feasibility
  • Defining AI Approaches (including Agentic Workflow Designs): Assess and design suitable AI solutions (e.g., copilots, automation, agentic workflows, RAG), define human-in-the-loop processes, integrations, and success criteria including quality, auditability, and performance standards
  • Delivery Management & Production Deployment: Manage end-to-end AI delivery from concept to rollout by coordinating stakeholders, engineering and data teams, tracking milestones and risks, supporting UAT, and ensuring production readiness, training, and change adoption
  • AI Tool Enablement & User Adoption: Train users on effective and responsible AI usage, develop practical templates and playbooks for core investment workflows, and promote safe adoption aligned with governance standards
  • Governance & Risk Management: Ensure AI solutions comply with governance, privacy, and security requirements by working with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security teams to define and enforce usage boundaries

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring business analysis or consulting experience in regulated industries, strong requirements and process mapping skills, understanding of AI/LLM risks, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in business analysis, technology consulting, product transformation, or solution delivery, ideally in financial services
  • Strong business analysis skills including workshop facilitation, process mapping, requirements gathering, user stories, and stakeholder engagement
  • Good understanding of applied AI/LLMs, including prompting, evaluation methods, limitations, and key risks (e.g., data leakage, prompt injection)
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with engineering and data teams
  • Experience working within governance frameworks (security, privacy) and familiarity with alternative asset management workflows is highly desirable, supported by a relevant degree
