Cloud Security Engineer

A leading organisation seeks a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen Kubernetes security, protect container workloads, and enhance threat detection and vulnerability management while collaborating with DevOps teams in an innovative dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities:

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in protecting cloud-native platforms by operating advanced CNAPP solutions for threat detection and vulnerability management.

• Operate advanced CNAPP solutions for runtime threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance across cloud-native environments
• Define and enforce comprehensive Kubernetes security policies, including RBAC configurations, PodSecurity rules, and network policies
• Conduct detailed assessments of microservices architectures, service meshes (e.g., Istio/Linkerd), and API gateways to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Monitor container runtime behaviour for anomalies, lead incident response activities, and perform regular cluster hardening reviews against industry benchmarks like CIS Kubernetes
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security requirements into infrastructure-as-code workflows using tools such as Terraform or Helm

Candidate profile:

To excel as a Cloud Security Engineer within this organisation you will bring proven experience from cybersecurity roles focused on cloud-native or microservices environments.

• 2+ years in cloud-native cybersecurity and Kubernetes security (RBAC, policies, networking)
• Hands-on experience with CNAPP tools and container security (image scanning, runtime protection)
• Strong technical skills in Kubernetes, Linux, networking, and scripting (Bash/Python)
• Experience in vulnerability management, compliance, and security policy enforcement
• Degree in a relevant field; fluent in English and Cantonese; DevSecOps knowledge and certifications are a plus
