Asia Sales Director (Apparel Supply Chain Solutions)
A global leader in specialised manufacturing and integrated supply chain solutions is in search of a Sales Director for Asia.
This is a pivotal leadership mandate designed to transform the regional commercial strategy from a reactive service model into a proactive, market-leading growth engine. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating complex, multi-jurisdictional sales initiatives that align global brand requirements with large-scale regional manufacturing execution across major Asian hubs.
Key responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute multi-country commercial strategies to drive revenue and market share across high-growth Asian territories
- Channel Influence: Building strategic partnerships directly with regional manufacturers and sourcing intermediaries to influence procurement decisions
- Account Penetration: Expand the company’s footprint within existing global accounts by introducing advanced, value-added product lines and increasing geographic coverage
- Regional Command: Lead and scale diverse, multi-cultural sales teams across Asia, fostering a high-performance culture driven by urgency and accountability
- Global Alignment: Work as a strategic bridge between Western-market brand teams and Asian production centres to ensure a unified "One Team" delivery model
- Performance Excellence: Set regional quotas and KPIs while identifying, coaching, and retaining top-tier sales talent to build future internal leadership
- End-to-End Execution: Coordinate design, sampling, and production cycles to ensure flawless execution on high-volume, repeat orders for global accounts
- Supply Chain Agility: Lead teams in managing short lead-time production cycles, ensuring on-time delivery while navigating complex logistics and disrupted environments
- Innovative Adoption: Position technical solutions (including digitised and tracking-enabled components) as value-added enterprise solutions rather than commodities
Candidate profile:
- Experience: 10–15 years of senior-level sales leadership within a global manufacturing or industrial supply chain ecosystem
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle between global IP owners, sourcing offices, and manufacturing facilities
- Proven track record of navigating key manufacturing hubs, including Greater China, Southeast Asia
- Sophisticated ability to manage price-sensitive, high-volume environments while protecting margins and securing "preferred vendor" status
- Ability to balance long-term regional strategy with the granular requirements of local execution and factory-level operations
- Fluency in English and any other Asian languages
- Able to travel up to 40%
