General Manager, Corporate Communications

A premier listed property group is seeking a General Manager in Hong Kong.

Representing a premier listed property group who is undergoing strategic transformation into an investment-led direction. This GM is a mission-critical role acting as the primary strategic advisor to the CEO and Board during this fundamental pivot.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for articulating the transition from traditional development to a sophisticated investment management model, leading the narrative for high-stakes activities including M&A, share repurchases, and capital recycling.

Key responsibilities:

• Transformation Leadership: Lead high-level corporate positioning that highlights the Group's transition toward specialised investment management and institutional-grade asset optimisation
• Capital Market Transactions: Lead all communication workstreams for inorganic growth, including acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures
• Financial Signaling: Partner with Finance and IR to communicate complex capital allocation strategies, such as share buyback programs and dividend policies, ensuring market-sensitive accuracy
• Strategic Governance: Establish Group-level oversight over regional portfolios across Asia-Pacific to ensure a unified voice during the transformation
• Crisis & Reputational Risk: Own the crisis protocol for the listed entity, specifically managing risks related to market disclosures and financial maneuvers

Candidate profile:

• Transaction Pedigree: Deep experience in a listed environment managing communications for M&A, rights issues, or major share repurchases
• Strategic Pivot Experience: Proven track record of steering a company through a major business model change or large-scale corporate restructuring
• High Financial Literacy: Must be comfortable navigating financial statements and technical legal frameworks while reporting to a General Counsel
• Executive Presence: Ability to challenge and advise a CEO on corporate positioning and market-sensitive narratives
• Proven experience navigating the regulatory, media, and stakeholder landscape of the Mainland China market, particularly within the commercial or financial sector
