Key responsibilities:

As Senior C&B Manager, you will be entrusted with responsibility for reviewing and enhancing compensation policies that underpin the institution’s ability to attract top talent.

  • Regularly review, develop, and enhance compensation and benefits policies, regulations, salary structures, allowance schemes, and reward frameworks to ensure they remain competitive and compliant with industry standards
  • Drive digitalisation of compensation and benefits workflows and systems by identifying areas for improvement and implementing technology solutions that streamline processes
  • Oversee benefits design and administration including vendor management to ensure employees receive high-quality services and support
  • Prepare headcount reports and compensation analytics for management to inform strategic decision-making regarding workforce planning
  • Provide professional advisory on compensation governance and compliance matters to ensure adherence to legal requirements and best practices
  • Support HR budgeting processes by contributing insights into compensation trends and workforce needs
  • Assist with talent management initiatives within the Human Resources Office by collaborating with colleagues to foster an inclusive workplace culture
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively by communicating clearly with internal clients across departments regarding compensation matters
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the HR function by sharing your knowledge of industry benchmarks and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management in support of organisational goals

Candidate profile:

Your proven experience as Senior C&B Manager will demonstrate your capacity for managing complex reward frameworks within large organisations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; higher degree preferred for candidates seeking advancement in human resources roles within complex organisations
  • At least ten years’ experience in compensation and benefits functions with five years in managerial positions demonstrating dependability in overseeing large-scale projects
  • Expertise in compensation structures including job evaluation methodologies, benchmarking against industry standards, benefits design, compliance regulations, and policy development
  • Strong analytical skills enabling you to interpret data accurately for reporting purposes as well as project management capabilities for driving digitalisation initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese allowing you to connect effectively with diverse stakeholders across departments
  • Proven stakeholder management abilities including influencing skills that foster cooperation among colleagues from different backgrounds
  • Professional certifications such as CCP or GRP are considered advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to pursue further training is highly valued
  • Experience working within higher education or similarly complex organisations is preferred due to the unique challenges these environments present
  • Ability to collaborate within teams while supporting communal goals through knowledge sharing and empathetic engagement with colleagues
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of compensation governance
