Operational Risk and Business Continuity Associate

A global bank is seeking to hire an Operational Risk professional in Hong Kong.

This role sits at the centre of the bank’s operational resilience and business continuity, working closely with senior regional and local stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the bank’s Operational Resilience framework, ensuring plans to respond to disruptions while maintaining critical services for clients and employees. The role requires strong coordination skills, regulatory awareness, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the governance, development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Operational Resilience framework in line with regulatory expectations
• Monitor emerging regulatory requirements, industry trends, and resilience-related threats, and report progress to internal committees
• Identify and map important business services and their dependencies (people, technology, facilities, third parties)
• Lead and coordinate scenario testing to validate recovery capabilities under extreme but plausible scenarios
• Assess, monitor, and report on the resilience of critical operations and propose enhancements where required
• Work closely with regional, head office, and local stakeholders, including Risk Management, IT, and Business teams
• Support the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams in maintaining and testing branch and cross‑location plans
