VP, Operational Risk - GBM

Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for a VP, Operational/Enterprise Risk to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive operational risk management strategy for global markets.
• Lead a team of risk professionals, fostering a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to identify and assess operational risks.
• Monitor and report on risk exposure and trends, providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Drive the development of policies and procedures to enhance operational resilience and compliance.
• Oversee incident management processes and ensure timely responses to operational risk events.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments impacting operational risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in operational risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the financial services sector.
• FRM, CFA, CPA destinations preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and executing risk management strategies.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of global markets and regulatory frameworks.
