Remittance Operation Officer (12-month contract)

An international banking institution seeks a Remittance Operation Officer to support payment processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to system enhancements in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities:

As a Remittance Operation Officer, you will process payments, perform reconciliations, support regulatory reporting, assist system testing, and ensure accurate, compliant operations.

• Process inward, outward, internal, local, foreign, and cross-border payments via various systems in compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Perform day-end reconciliation to ensure all transactions are completed accurately and on time
• Prepare and submit required regulatory reports
• Provide administrative support across transaction processing as directed by supervisor
• Participate in system enhancements and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring strong transaction processing and analytical skills, solid Microsoft Office proficiency, and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach with the ability to work accurately under pressure.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree required
• Prior experience in remittance operations preferred
• Strong team player with customer-focused mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; VBA, Excel Macros, and Alteryx are an advantage; strong English communication skills required
