Portfolio Manager - Asset management
This well-established and reputable asset management firm is seeking a multi-asset portfolio manager. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing investment strategies that effectively optimize capital allocation across a range of asset classes, including equities and fixed income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Strategy Development: Design and implement cross-asset allocation strategies that align with our reinsurance business objectives and optimize portfolio performance.
- Market Analysis: Stay current and conduct in-depth analysis of equity markets, macroeconomic indicators, and industry trends to inform investment decisions.
- Tactical and Strategic Decision-Making: Originate investment ideas to capitalize on short-term market opportunities while balancing strategic positions for long-term growth and sustainability.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that investment strategies are aligned with performance, operational, risk management and capital requirements.
- Reporting: Train junior members of the team to perform robust portfolio analytics for the investment function, and be able to prepare and present investment plan, strategy, and outlook to a range of stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with investment strategies, particularly in the context of reinsurance liabilities, earnings and capital management.
- Communication: Demonstrate strong articulation skills, effectively conveying complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Quant or a related field.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in investment management, with experience in cross-asset allocation and a strong focus on global equities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing cross-asset portfolios, particularly in a risk-sensitive environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in investment analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and preferably Mandarin.
- Strong ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
