(Asst) FP&A Manager | Start up business
A fast-growing organisation seeks (Assistant) FP&A Manager in Hong Kong.
The opportunity:
A fast-growing organisation at an exciting stage of development, offering a rare opportunity to build FP&A processes from the ground up, work closely with senior stakeholders, and have a direct impact on business performance. The successful candidate will initially operate in a lean, standalone FP&A capacity, with the platform to scale alongside the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the company’s financial performance management, establishing planning, forecasting, and analytical frameworks to support a rapidly scaling business
- Act as a finance business partner to commercial and operations teams, providing decision support through forward‑looking analysis and scenario assessment
- Translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for management, enabling timely and informed business decisions
- Design, build, and continuously enhance management information and dashboards, ensuring visibility over key revenue and cost drivers
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and investment evaluation
- Work closely with the accounting function to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity between management information and statutory figures
- Establish and refine FP&A processes, controls, and reporting cadence suitable for a growing and evolving organisation
- Serve as a hands‑on contributor in a lean finance setup, with scope to scale systems and capabilities as the business expands
- Participate in special projects and ad‑hoc analyses driven by senior management and business needs
Candidate profile:
- Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines; HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is required
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant FP&A experience, with exposure to fast‑growing, entrepreneurial, or transformation environments highly desirable
- Previous background in Big 4 audit firm is highly preferred
- Hands‑on and inquisitive mindset, comfortable working independently and building processes from a blank slate
- Solid financial modelling and advanced Excel skills (mandatory)
- Ability to work under pressure, manage ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- Willingness to undertake occasional overseas travel
