Assistant Finance Manager (1-Year Contract) | Science Park

A leading organisation within Hong Kong’s innovation and technology sector is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager for a one-year contract.

This role offers the opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative finance team where your expertise in financial reporting will directly contribute to business success.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS/GPL and internal policies
• Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial statements across regional entities
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation and variance analysis
• Coordinate with audit teams (internal and external) to support financial audits and ensure compliance
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics, KPIs, and business performance indicators
• Provide management reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, automation, and controls
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff involved in reporting activities
• Collaborate with FP&A, operational finance, and business units to ensure data integrity

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA qualified or progressing
• At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a multinational corporation
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role
• Strong background in IFRS and local regulatory requirements
• Big 4 accounting firm experience highly preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines
