Accountant | AR Focus | 38k

An organisation in Hong Kong is seeking an Accountant specialising in Accounts Receivable to join its collaborative finance team.

This opportunity offers ownership of the end-to-end AR function while working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities:

You will oversee the full accounts receivable function, ensuring efficient financial operations, accurate reporting, and strong stakeholder relationships within a collaborative finance environment.

• Handle the full spectrum of accounts receivable activities, including invoice issuance, payment allocation, and collections follow-up
• Monitor customer accounts and aging reports, identify overdue balances, and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner
• Reconcile customer accounts, investigate unapplied receipts or short payments, and process credit notes or adjustments where necessary
• Maintain accurate AR records, customer files, and supporting documentation in the ERP/accounting system
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including AR reconciliation, accrual support, and reporting requirements
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and customers to address billing queries, disputes, and collection issues professionally
• Assist in improving AR processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate will bring strong accounts receivable expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately within a fast-paced finance environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in accounts receivable or general accounting, preferably in a commercial or multinational environment
• Solid understanding of AR processes, accounting principles, and reconciliations
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage deadlines
