Senior System Analyst (JavaScript, Java; Finance Service)

A leading financial services organisation in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Systems Analyst (JavaScript, Java; Finance Service) to develop scalable web applications and drive digital transformation across financing platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of JavaScript and Java-based web applications, delivering scalable and high-performing financing solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and business users to drive successful project delivery
• Architect and enhance responsive Single Page Applications (SPA), Multi-Page Applications (MPA), and backend services while ensuring code quality through best practices and reviews
• Deploy, optimise, and support applications on cloud platforms using Kubernetes to improve scalability, reliability, and operational performance
• Champion continuous improvement by adopting modern technologies, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to the organisation's digital transformation initiatives

Candidate profile:

• At least 5 years’ IT application development experience supporting mission-critical systems, ideally within financial services or other complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in JavaScript technologies (React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Bootstrap, Material UI, CSS/Sass) and Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring MVC)
• Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, Alicloud, or Huawei Cloud using Kubernetes
• Proficient in PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and code quality tools such as SonarQube and Blackduck
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams while adapting to evolving technologies
