You will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless operation of critical IT systems, supporting group communication platforms, and driving process standardisation across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide dependable support for group communication systems including e-mail, VoIP, and conferencing platforms to ensure smooth daily operations across all business units.
  • Monitor server performance as well as software and hardware components, proactively identifying areas for optimisation to maintain high levels of system reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage IT assets and software licences diligently while ensuring full compliance with both corporate policies and vendor requirements at all times.
  • Develop, write, and maintain clear SOPs, technical documentation, and runbooks; actively promote process standardisation by adhering to ITIL or equivalent frameworks.
  • Coordinate closely with external vendors and service providers to facilitate seamless system integrations and deliver effective ongoing support for critical infrastructure.
  • Participate in IT budgeting processes by providing valuable input on cost-control initiatives and recommending optimisations that align with organisational objectives.
  • Support identity and access management activities by maintaining regular audits of Active Directory, LDAP, or similar systems to uphold robust security standards.
  • Administer backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam or Commvault (or equivalents), ensuring data integrity through regular testing and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to Oracle database administration tasks including backup strategies, recovery procedures, and performance enhancements for mission-critical applications.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field combined with over 6 years of hands-on experience in IT operations within complex environments.
  • Demonstrated ability designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks and systems that support large-scale business operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, VPNs, ensuring robust protection against evolving threats.
  • Practical experience working with Windows, Linux, UNIX operating systems as well as virtualisation platforms like VMware or Hyper-V in production settings.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes would be advantageous for supporting modern application deployment strategies.
  • Proficiency managing SAN storage solutions alongside email servers and group communication platforms vital for business continuity.
  • Strong background in Oracle database administration encompassing backup routines, recovery planning, and performance tuning for high-availability environments.
  • Working knowledge of leading backup/recovery tools including Veeam or Commvault (or similar alternatives) to guarantee data resilience.
  • Solid grasp of identity/access management principles using Active Directory or LDAP coupled with experience conducting regular security audits.
  • Certification or practical experience with ITIL or comparable process frameworks reflecting commitment to operational excellence.
