CTO - Global Financial Services (HKD$2.5-HKD$3.5M)

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial services industry, with specific expertise in aligning technology initiatives with business needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (HKMA).

What you'll do:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports organizational goals and enhances operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a team of 10 in Hong Kong, fostering a culture of innovation and constant improvement.
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives to modernize and optimize the bank’s technology infrastructure which supports trading, risk management, compliance, and client services.
• Ensure robust, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure to support global operations.
• Ensure all technology strategies and initiatives comply with HKMA regulations and other relevant financial regulations.
• Act as a liaison between technology teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, engagement, and success of technology projects.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the financial services sector and identify opportunities for the bank to leverage innovative solutions.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior technology leadership role within the financial services sector, preferably in investment banking.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure management, system architecture, and IT governance frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of HKMA regulations and experience in ensuring compliance within a technology context.
• Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale technology transformations that drive business growth and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, with strong stakeholder management skills.
