Asst. Business Analyst, Trading System Development (Contract)

A leading financial services organisation in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Business Analyst (Contract) to support trading system development and deliver impactful capital markets solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements across trading, operations, risk, compliance, and technology, translating needs into clear functional specifications and user stories
• Coordinate end-to-end project activities, aligning stakeholders, managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and driving progress throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead testing coordination by preparing test plans, test cases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking defects, and ensuring quality project delivery
• Support system implementations by coordinating production releases, post-implementation reviews, and operational readiness for new solutions and enhancements
• Build strong relationships with business users, technology teams, vendors, and management while supporting user training and effective knowledge transfer

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with 1–3 years’ experience in business analysis or project coordination
• Experience in financial services, preferably within capital markets, brokerage, or investment banking, with an understanding of the trading lifecycle
• Hands-on experience in business requirements gathering, documentation, functional specifications, user stories, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes
• Proficiency in Cantonese and English, with a proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced financial services environment
