Senior UX Designer (Banking, 90k, 6 months renewable contract)

A financial institution seeks a Senior User Experience Designer to shape digital product vision and translate user needs into intuitive, data-driven experiences in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior UX Designer, you will design and refine digital products end-to-end with Product and AI teams to deliver user-centric, data-driven experiences.

• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Manager and AI Product Lead to define strategy, roadmap, and quarterly goals, ensuring user needs align with business priorities
• End-to-End Design: Manage the full design process—from research and journey mapping to prototypes and developer handoff
• User Research & Testing: Conduct interviews, usability tests, and heuristic evaluations to gather insights and validate designs iteratively
• Data-Informed Improvements: Leverage user feedback, analytics, and performance metrics to identify pain points and refine experiences
• Prototyping & Interaction Design: Create wireframes, flows, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma to align stakeholders
• Design System Maintenance: Evolve our design system for consistency, accessibility, and scalability across digital platforms
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with AI engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and users to deliver feasible solutions on time

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring Senior UX design experience delivering end-to-end solutions, strong user empathy, strategic thinking, advanced Figma skills, and an inclusive, collaborative Agile approach.

• Proven experience in product design or usability roles
• Strong design thinking with user-centred, problem-solving portfolio and polished visuals
• Strategic mindset linking design decisions to business outcomes (e.g., retention, revenue)
• Advanced proficiency in Figma or similar tools; AI-assisted design tools a plus
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders
• Experience designing complex workflows or data-heavy interfaces preferred
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred
