Associate, Business Analyst (Post Trade, Tech or NonTech)

A financial institution in Hong Kong seeks a Business Analyst Associate to support Back Office Technology enhancements across the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Key responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst Associate, you will support end-to-end back-office technology projects, including requirements gathering, system enhancements, and delivery coordination.

• Participate in project implementation and Back Office systems enhancements. The work will involve the full life cycle of the SDLC including gathering user requirements, producing detailed specifications, designing, testing, deployment and post implementation support
• Accountable for leading project workstream, driving stakeholders and vendors in meeting project overall timeline and scope
• Take lead on Change Requests to ensure the change is well communicated to stakeholders and the organisation’s Securities Asia’s development standards and procedures are adhered to
• Ensure deliverables are meeting the requirement and timeline
• Manage vendors on system enhancements to ensure the deliverables are within scope and timeline
• Work collaboratively with all internal clients including business users, IT Support, Infrastructure and IT Governance
• Provide support on day-to-day production problems and maintenance when required

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring investment banking experience, post-trade knowledge, SQL/Linux skills, Agile exposure, and strong communication abilities.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in investment banking environments
• Strong knowledge of post-trade workflows (equities, fixed income, corporate actions, financial accounting)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery practices
• Proficient in Linux and Windows platforms
• Strong SQL Server and relational database skills
• Degree in Computer Science or related numerate discipline
• Strong communication, analytical, and coordination skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams
