IT Project Manager/Delivery lead - digital solution - insurance

We are looking for an innovative and strategic leader to guide a talented, cross-disciplinary team in delivering cutting-edge mobile and web applications for a top-tier life and health insurance organization. This position offers a chance to influence digital transformation initiatives in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a diverse, collaborative team dedicated to designing and launching exceptional digital solutions across mobile and web platforms.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and planning through to deployment and post-launch support, ensuring alignment with business strategies and deadlines.
  • Lead and facilitate agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives, to promote continuous team improvement.
  • Work closely with product owners, designers, software engineers, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure smooth project flow and delivery.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders across local and regional levels, fostering transparency, setting clear expectations, and ensuring alignment on project goals.
  • Identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles early, implementing proactive measures to keep projects on schedule.
  • Track team performance, identify opportunities for efficiency, and cultivate a culture of ongoing improvement and high-quality output.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, security protocols, and quality standards throughout all phases of delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in software project delivery, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or team management role within the insurance sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering mobile and/or web applications in an Agile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum , along with proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing diverse stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience collaborating with regional teams and managing cross-cultural dynamics is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Cantonese is required.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical background or practical experience in mobile/web development.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and DevOps methodologies.
  • Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe) would be beneficial.
