Technology Risk Analyst, Financial Services (Contract)

A financial institution in Hong Kong seeks a Technology Risk Analyst to manage IT risk and compliance across systems, cloud, and vendors.

Key responsibilities:

As a Technology Risk Analyst, you will assess and mitigate IT risks across systems, cloud, and vendors, ensure compliance, and support risk reporting and remediation tracking.

• Risk Identification & Assessment: Conduct comprehensive technology risk assessments on applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and third-party vendors
• Controls Testing & Validation: Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGCs), data privacy measures, and identity and access management (IAM) protocols
• Regulatory Compliance: Map technical controls against financial sector regulatory requirements and frameworks
• Incident & Root Cause Analysis: Analyse technology risk events, IT outages, and security near-misses to identify root causes and track remediation plans
• Risk Reporting & Dashboards: Compile and analyse risk metrics to draft high-quality risk reports for senior leadership and risk committees

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring IT audit/compliance experience in financial services, strong ITGC knowledge, relevant certifications, and the ability to assess risk and communicate insights clearly.

• Bachelor’s Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 3-4 years' relevant experience IT compliance /IT audit, preferably within banking, insurance, or financial institutions
• Professional certifications are highly preferred (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CRISC)
