Data Engineer - 35k (Azure/GCP/AWS)

This role will focus on translating business requirements into practical data engineering solutions.

Roles and Duties:

• Create new applications utilizing existing data sets to innovate new products or enhance current services.
• Sustain existing applications by either upgrading existing code or incorporating new features to meet fresh demands.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and IT professionals, to identify business requirements and transform them into actionable data engineering solutions.
• Offer solutions to ensure overall client success.
• Uphold data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle by applying strong database concepts and data modeling proficiency.
• Employ various data and AI technologies to achieve diverse solution objectives, encompassing data integration, insight visualization, data platform and pipeline development, data scientist model integration, and GenAI initiatives.
• Adapt to varying project requirements.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of one year of practical experience in IT technology, ideally in a consulting setting or with experience in Data or AI technologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in Cantonese and English languages.

Proficiency in one or more of the following areas:

• Programming languages: Python, Spark, Express, React, Node.js
• AWS; Azure, GCP cloud platform
• Database and SQL programming
• Experience with Informatica, IDMC, or other ETL/ELT platforms in large-scale projects will be considered
• Azure ADF and Databricks
• Visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI
• Streaming technologies like Kafka or Spark
• Universal AI/ML platform products or ML engineering
