Infrastructure Architect

This role offers you the chance to shape and deliver cutting-edge technology infrastructure, working with cloud technologies, modern workplace solutions, and robust network architectures. You will play a pivotal part in translating business needs into scalable, secure IT solutions while collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive cloud strategies that align with organisational goals, ensuring all solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Work closely with executives, business units, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective cloud architecture solutions.
• Conduct thorough architecture reviews to guarantee adherence to best practices, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Drive the adoption of advanced cloud technologies by identifying opportunities for optimisation and innovation within existing systems.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of cloud platforms, tools, and services while considering cost efficiency, performance, and scalability.
• Define, document, and enforce architecture standards, policies, and procedures for both cloud environments and network infrastructures.
• Leverage expertise in Office 365 to enhance team collaboration and productivity through seamless integration with cloud-based solutions.
• Design robust office network and Wi-Fi architectures that ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security across the company’s IT landscape.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in cloud computing and network architecture to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership on complex projects while managing relationships with service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is required for this position.
• Demonstrable experience spanning over ten years in infrastructure technology management within large-scale organisations or financial institutions is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of Azure cloud platforms including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings as well as hybrid environments is highly desirable.
• Exceptional coordination abilities paired with clear communication skills enable you to work effectively across diverse teams.
• Hands-on experience architecting cloud solutions using patterns such as microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), serverless computing, and CI/CD pipelines is expected.
• Proven track record designing resilient network architectures that prioritise performance optimisation alongside security considerations.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform as well as proficiency integrating Office 365 into collaborative workflows are advantageous assets.
• Strong analytical thinking combined with problem-solving acumen allows you to address complex challenges efficiently while supporting others’ development.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects whilst balancing priorities demonstrates your dependability under pressure.
