AI Solution Engineer (Claude) - Long/Short Equity Fund

A leading investment management firm in Hong Kong is seeking an AI Solution Engineer to revolutionise the application of artificial intelligence within their long/short equity fund.

Key responsibilities:

As an AI Solution Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how advanced AI technologies are applied to solve high-value business challenges.

• Architect and deploy end-to-end GenAI solutions (RAG, agents, MCP servers), integrating APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek) with proprietary data
• Collaborate with business and investment teams to define use cases, translate requirements into solutions, and deliver AI training, prompts, and documentation
• Build and execute robust evaluation frameworks to benchmark AI tools, agents, and models on financial datasets for accuracy and performance
• Develop and scale secure LLM infrastructure across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks) to address business needs
• Lead rapid prototyping and deployment of emerging AI tools (agents, copilots, orchestration frameworks) to validate capabilities and drive innovation

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

• 5–12 years’ experience in Applied AI, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Product Management
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Strong expertise in AI/LLM ecosystem: transformers, agentic workflows, prompt/context engineering, model evaluation, APIs, and orchestration frameworks
• Hands-on experience integrating and customising GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) into business workflows
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Git; familiar with cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Financial services exposure (hedge funds, asset management, fintech) preferred; fluent in English, Mandarin a plus
