A leading organisation in Hong Kong seeks Assistant Director of Operation Excellence and Quality, who will drive business excellence through quality management, continuous improvement, and strategic project leadership, with a strong focus on Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

As the Assistant Director of Operation Excellence and Quality, you will lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance with quality standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all locations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), and other operational excellence methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, optimise processes, and enhance overall operational efficiency
  • Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), overseeing project governance, resource allocation, and delivery of company-wide initiatives, including provision of PM tools, training, and support
  • Establish, implement, and maintain quality assurance frameworks, ensuring compliance through internal audits, process reviews, and coordination with Internal Audit functions
  • Develop and maintain the Company Product Quality Manual, document management systems, and ensure adherence to quality and process standards across all locations
  • Design and deliver training programs, while defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to strengthen capabilities in quality, project management, and operational excellence

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with extensive experience in operational excellence, quality management, and continuous improvement within complex organisations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in operational excellence, quality management, continuous improvement, and/or project management
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing quality and operational excellence frameworks
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Project Management certification (PMP/PMI-ACP) preferred
  • Strong leadership experience with ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in quality management systems and methodologies
  • Excellent communication (English and Chinese/Thai), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with ability to perform in fast-paced environments
