What you'll do:
As Head of Quality Assurance, you will play a central role in shaping how quality is defined, measured, and achieved throughout the organisation’s operations.
- Establish and execute quality strategies designed to foster a culture of continuous improvement across all processes, products, and systems through effective training programmes.
- Design, develop, manage, and implement clear quality standards and processes that align with industry best practices and organisational goals.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers to fully understand their evolving quality requirements, ensuring any concerns or complaints are addressed promptly in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Assess existing quality systems and protocols regularly to identify areas for sustainable improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Initiate and oversee the periodic publication of the Quality Update Newsletter to keep all stakeholders informed about key developments and achievements.
- Monitor factory teams closely to support them in resolving immediate issues while guiding the implementation of changes that enhance current protocols and procedures.
- Track key performance indicators related to quality by maintaining scorecards with factory QA teams, using process control data for risk assessment and statistical monitoring.
- Analyse overall quality performance data to identify trends, drive improvements, implement non-conformance action plans, troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and share case studies for ongoing learning.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions aimed at strengthening manufacturing systems so they consistently meet both internal standards and customer expectations.
- Take on special projects as assigned by senior management, contributing your expertise wherever it is most needed.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in textile science, garment technology or testing technology provides a strong foundation for understanding complex manufacturing environments.
- At least 10 year's experience in management roles within garment manufacturing or related industries demonstrates your ability to navigate industry-specific challenges effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of textile production processes, garment construction methods, testing protocols, quality management systems, and relevant safety regulations ensures you can uphold rigorous standards.
- Exceptional leadership abilities enable you to inspire teams towards shared goals while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and co-operation.
- Outstanding communication skills allow you to engage empathetically with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners or customers.
- A proactive mindset combined with attention to detail means you can anticipate potential issues before they escalate while remaining patient and humble under pressure.
- Familiarity with industry regulations along with established quality assurance methodologies ensures compliance at every stage of production.
- Demonstrated capacity for building positive stakeholder relationships helps create an inclusive network focused on shared success.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint enables effective data analysis and presentation of findings or recommendations.
- Fluency in English and Chinese allows seamless interaction across diverse teams.
