Assistant Merchandiser - Fashion (Fresh Graduates Welcome)

Our client is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser in the fashion industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, handling product sourcing, development, and evaluation. This position is open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of office work experience. Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1/2), English, Cantonese & Mandarin is required.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Merchandiser in the fashion industry, your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for handling product sourcing, development, and evaluation. Your excellent negotiation skills will be put to use as you conduct price negotiations and costing with vendors. You will also liaise with suppliers to monitor the production process and ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality. Additionally, you will handle any ad hoc projects assigned by your Manager.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Merchandiser role is a fresh graduate or someone with 1-2 years of office work experience. You should hold a diploma or higher in any discipline. Your language skills are crucial for this role; proficiency in spoken and written Japanese (JLPT N1/2), English, Cantonese & Mandarin is required. Your good interpersonal and communication skills will help you liaise effectively with suppliers and other stakeholders. Being well-organized, patient, and self-initiative are key traits that will help you succeed in this role. A sound knowledge in PC operations is also necessary.
