Marketing and Fundraising Director (NGO)
Seeking a Marketing and Fundraising Director to lead branding, fundraising, and communications, driving visibility and sustainable funding growth.
About the Role
This organisation is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and passionate Marketing and Fundraising Director to join their senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and leading a small dedicated team, you will drive the organisation's fundraising, branding, marketing, communications, and public education efforts. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to grow brand visibility, deepen stakeholder relationships, and secure sustainable funding.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for fundraising, branding, marketing, communications, and public education campaigns across traditional and digital channels
- Lead integrated campaigns to engage diverse target audiences, increase public awareness, and drive participation in events and initiatives
- Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with corporates, foundations, individual donors, media partners, and community organisations to maximise brand exposure and fundraising revenue
- Oversee the planning and execution of high-profile events and marketing campaigns to support the organisation’s mission and financial goals
- Lead, motivate, and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Serve as a key spokesperson for the organisation, communicating confidently with stakeholders and the public
Candidate profile:
- Degree holder in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline
- Minimum 18-20 years of relevant experience in fundraising, corporate communications, media relations, and public relations, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in planning and executing successful large-scale events and multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Strong leadership capability with a hands-on approach and the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
- Highly creative with strong copywriting skills and the ability to generate fresh marketing ideas
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to represent the organisation at all levels.
- Passion for the non-profit sector and a strong commitment to supporting people affected by cancer is highly desirable
