An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Manager in Corporate Communications to join a highly respected organisation based in Hong Kong. This role offers you the chance to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of events, from high-profile corporate gatherings to impactful conferences and social occasions, all while ensuring alignment with the company’s brand and strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Event Team through all stages of event delivery, from initial concept development through meticulous planning to flawless execution and post-event review.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to define clear event objectives, requirements, and deliverables, providing expert recommendations that enhance outcomes.
  • Oversee comprehensive budget management for each event, including negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure optimal terms while maintaining quality standards.
  • Supervise on-site operations during events, ensuring every aspect runs smoothly by coordinating logistics, managing staff assignments, and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of event success by gathering feedback from stakeholders, analysing results against objectives, and preparing detailed post-event reports for continuous improvement.
  • Implement effective crisis management strategies as needed during events, adhering strictly to established protocols to safeguard participants’ well-being and uphold the organisation’s reputation.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all events, including schedules, checklists, risk assessments, and compliance records to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the process.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring junior staff members, encouraging open communication, and promoting best practices in event management.
  • Liaise regularly with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels before, during, and after each event.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by occasionally working on holidays or outside standard hours when required to meet critical deadlines or manage unforeseen challenges.

Requirements

  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or relevant qualification
  • 10 years’ solid experience in corporate communications, marketing, event agency or other relevant disciplines
  • Solid experience in event management and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent in both English and Chinese
