Head of Compliance, Insurance
This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee compliance with applicable regulations for life and non-life entities, provide advisory and reporting on compliance matters and risks, and support different business units on compliance matters.
What you'll do:
As a Head of Compliance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the compliance with applicable regulations for both life and non-life entities. You will be responsible for providing advisory services to different business units on compliance matters, ensuring that all activities align with regulatory requirements. Your excellent communication skills will be essential as you build relationships with the Insurance Authority, ensuring requests and enquiries are met promptly. Additionally, your ability to identify, assess, and advise on mitigation actions for compliance risks will be key to your success in this role.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Head of Compliance role will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles within compliance or risk functions of bank, insurance or investment companies. You will possess a deep understanding of the regulatory framework, applicable regulation, and related compliance obligations. Your knowledge of insurance business operations/processes will be key to your success in this role. Your ability to communicate effectively with both external regulators and internal executives will be crucial, as will your ability to manage complex situations and meet deadlines. You will also have the ability to work in a diverse and international environment.
- A relevant degree in law or accounting or economics or engineering or risk management
- Around 10 years of experience in compliance or risk functions of bank, insurance or investment companies
- Understanding of the regulatory framework, applicable regulation and related compliance obligations
- Knowledge of insurance business and operations/processes
- Familiarity with compliance risk management methodologies
- Ability to carry out effective communication and correspondence with external regulators and internal executives
- Team player with strong ability to manage time, resources in an effective manner
- Ability to manage complex situations and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a diverse and international environment
