Human Resources Manager, Hospital
A leading organisation in Hong Kong seeks a dedicated Human Resources Manager to oversee and enhance the full spectrum of HR operations and shape the employee experience from onboarding through to offboarding, ensuring compliance with local labour laws.
Key responsibilities:
As Human Resources Manager, you will play an integral role in ensuring smooth people management processes while maintaining compliance regulations.
- Report directly to the Head of HR and provide strategic and operational HR support across the organisation
- Lead and manage a team delivering end-to-end HR services, covering the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding
- Oversee and continuously enhance day-to-day HR operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service consistency across all departments
- Ensure full compliance with local labour laws, hospital regulations, and internal HR policies, maintaining updated handbooks, SOPs, and guidelines
- Manage end-to-end compensation and benefits operations, including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and related processes
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters, handling inquiries, grievances, disciplinary cases, PIPs, and conflict resolution
- Partner with line managers on workforce planning and recruitment needs, while driving employee engagement initiatives to build a positive and supportive workplace culture
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you will bring extensive hands-on experience managing complex HR functions within regulated industries like healthcare.
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Operations or HR Generalist managerial role
- Strong expertise in local Employment Ordinance, HR operations, and working knowledge of HRIS systems
- Proven ability to manage sensitive employee relations matters with a balanced approach of empathy and firmness
- Highly organised, hands-on, and willing to take a proactive, operational “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach
- Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
- Fluent in English and Cantonese, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
