An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join a leading multinational company. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in Human Resources, particularly in global mobility and compensation and benefits program development.

What you'll do:

As a Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the mobility process from start to finish. This includes everything from applying for work permits to coordinating relocations. You'll also be tasked with sourcing service vendors for relocation assignments, providing repatriation support to employees, and developing competitive compensation and benefits programs. Your expertise will help maintain our market competitiveness and support our overseas offices. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to participate in various ad hoc projects.

  • Manage the end-to-end mobility process including application of work permit, taxation, relocation coordination, accommodation and education.
  • Source and propose relevant service vendors for relocations assignments.
  • Provide repatriation support to employees.
  • Develop, review and administer compensation and benefits programs & initiatives for talent acquisition.
  • Maintain market competitiveness through effective compensation strategies.
  • Provide support on compensation and benefits program for overseas offices.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Compensation and Benefits Specialist role will have a degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration (or related discipline) along with sound knowledge & experience in global mobility and compensation & benefits program development. Previous work experience in commodities trading or mining business would be advantageous. You should have an understanding of local laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to global mobility across various countries. Your ability to manage relationships with vendors including relocation service providers will be key. Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal skills are essential along with fluency in English & Mandarin.

  • Degree in Human Resources Management / Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Sound knowledge & experience in global mobility and compensation and benefits program development.
  • Previous work experience in commodities trading business preferred.
  • Knowledge of local laws, regulations and compliance requirements related to global mobility in various countries including China, South Africa.
  • Experience in managing relationships with vendors including relocation service providers.
  • Excellent communication; analytical; interpersonal skills and a solid team player.
  • Good command of spoken English & Mandarin.
  • Good command of PC skills.
