A prestigious financial institution in Hong Kong is seeking a Client Due Diligence and Relationship Management Support Specialist for a one-year contract.

This opportunity offers exposure to private banking, supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients through client onboarding, due diligence, and regulatory compliance activities while partnering closely with Relationship Managers and key control functions. You will join a collaborative environment that values accuracy, stakeholder engagement, and professional growth within the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Relationship Management Team with Client Due Diligence (CDD) for a portfolio of HNW/UHNW clients, collaborating closely with Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Client Lifecycle Management)
  • Draft comprehensive CDD write-ups for onboarding, periodic reviews, and trigger events, covering client profile, ownership structure, source of wealth, account activity, and risk rationale in line with AML policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collect, validate, and perform quality checks on KYC documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, addressing gaps or exceptions promptly
  • Manage CDD/KYC pipelines and timelines, coordinating case progress with stakeholders to meet service level expectations and regulatory deadlines while providing regular updates
  • Ensure all KYC/CDD activities comply fully with internal policies and external regulations

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong customer service, communication, analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Solid understanding of private banking products/services
  • Experience drafting CDD/KYC narratives for onboarding or periodic reviews within a bank/financial institution is preferred
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English; basic knowledge of MS applications
  • Team player with a strong drive for success and achievement
