Settlement Operations (12 months contracts)

A leading financial institution in Hong Kong is seeking a Settlement Operations Specialist for a 12-month contract to support its securities settlement function across multiple asset classes.

This role places strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance within a collaborative operations environment. You will join a supportive team where your interpersonal strengths and responsible approach contribute directly to operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage end-to-end settlement operations across multiple financial instruments while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

• Execute daily settlement operations (scripless and physical) across equities, fixed income, and other financial instruments with accuracy and efficiency
• Process securities transactions including settlements, corporate actions (voluntary and involuntary), account openings, billing, and monthly fee collections
• Manage custody operations including holding statement dispatch, account maintenance, static data updates, and related record-keeping activities
• Provide second-line client support by handling inquiries promptly and ensuring a high standard of service delivery
• Ensure compliance with HKMA, MAS, SFC regulations and internal audit/risk policies, while reporting suspicious or exceptional incidents appropriately
• Support system enhancements and business initiatives, including UAT testing, business continuity planning, process reviews, and ad hoc assignments

Candidate profile:

You are a detail-oriented and dependable professional with a strong foundation in securities operations and a commitment to accuracy and teamwork.

• 1–2 years of experience in securities operations or a strong academic background for high-potential fresh graduates
• Experience in settlement processing for equities, fixed income, or related financial instruments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within financial services operations
• Adaptable and proactive, with willingness to participate in UAT testing, projects, and ad hoc operational tasks
