Business Analyst | Post trade (OTC) | 12-month contract

A leading orgnaisation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Post Trade Team. This role involves contributing to platform upgrade projects aligned with strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business owners and users to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements in a clear and structured manner
• Work closely with IT teams and/or third-party software developers to ensure requirements are well understood and solutions are effectively implemented
• Review system specifications to ensure alignment with functional and non-functional requirements while maintaining traceability from platform capabilities to detailed functional specifications
• Develop test strategies, scenarios, and cases based on user requirements and functional specifications
• Automate test cases using advanced in-house tools and technologies
• Systematically follow up on test cases/scripts, document test results, and maintain problem logs
• Assist in managing UAT problem logs, coordinate with IT development teams to identify resolutions, and define retest strategies
• Contribute to the timely delivery of projects while ensuring alignment with scope and stakeholder expectations

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within established financial organisations. Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Officer-level role
• Familiarity with OTC workflows is advantageous
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA
• Advanced skills in Excel and VBA; knowledge of programming languages like Python and SQL is preferred
• Strong team player with a proactive mindset who can take ownership of tasks and deliverables
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while adapting communication styles to ensure project success
