COO/ Head of Operations - Crypto Fund

This is a reputable and large investment manager looking for a head of operations to focus on their crypto fund

Responsibilities

• Building the Operations team covering payments, FX, reconciliation, on- boarding / KYC / AML, and client services etc.
• Develop operations processes and designing operations flows to meet the company’s business strategy.
• Plan and perform operations processing functions to provide best-in-class operations and client services.
• Work with technology and product teams to design end to end solutions and implementation. Participate in a new process or enhancement projects from time to time.
• Develop and update the relevant policies, processes, and procedures for operations and client services. Fulfill control requirements via continuous review of working procedures.
• Help to ensure adequate controls and processes to comply with regulatory (HKMA), anti-fraud and operational risk requirements.
• Support planning, implementation and execution of business continuity and contingency plan.
• Support and help in vendor management
• Recruit, train, supervise or participate in staffing decisions for operations, settlement, clearing and payment team

Requirements:

• Have bachelors degree(s) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics and Law or a related field but preference with degree(s) in Engineering subjects (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc).
• Ideally fluent in English and Chinese
• At least 8 years of experience, and hands-on work experience in digital assets, Web3.0 related projects environment is a bonus
• Strong interest and familiar with DLT, payment and settlement via stablecoins
• Knowledge of Layer-1&2 blockchain networks, DeFi, and Web3 protocols be a nice to have
• Excellent in project management, team management and communication skills
