Business Development - Construction (Broking) - Entry/Mid-Level

Key responsibilities:

As a Business Development, you will immerse yourself in the intricacies of providing tailored risk solutions for clients operating in one of Hong Kong’s most vital industries.

• Learn how to advise main contractors, subcontractors, and developers on insurance programs tailored to project‑specific risks
• Assist with prospecting, client follow‑ups, and opportunity tracking throughout the sales process
• Work closely with underwriters to understand project scope, risk exposure, and coverage structure
• Stay informed on construction industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risk topics to support client discussions
• Support the team in developing new accounts and expanding client relationships within the construction and engineering sectors

Candidate profile:

To excel on this role, you will bring not only academic credentials but also a keen interest in understanding how risk management shapes major infrastructure projects.

• Bachelor’s degree holder of Risk & Insurance Management, Business Administration or other relevant disciplines
• 0–5 years of relevant experience in the insurance, brokerage, or construction sectors is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant degrees or internship experience within the brokerage will also be considered
• Strong interest in construction, insurance, and risk advisory work
• Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport and work with different stakeholders
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment
• Fluent in Chinese and English
