Junior Research Assistant

This is a Hong Kong hedge fund with offices in Shenzhen, Taiwan and Shanghai. The role will involve assisting the CIO in conducting expert network calls to gather insights on investment opportunities and liaising with due diligence service providers to coordinate and execute thorough due diligence on investment ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CIO in conducting expert network calls to gather insights on investment opportunities.
  • Liaise with due diligence service providers to coordinate and execute thorough due diligence on investment ideas.
  • Compile, organize, and summarize research data to support investment decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends and provide concise updates to the CIO.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to research and due diligence processes as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Preferred background in consulting, expert networks, or due diligence (1-2 years of experience ideal but not mandatory).
  • Strong analytical skills and common sense to evaluate information critically.
  • Exceptional work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with research tools is a plus.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Shenzhen, China.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory
