Product Manager (Bicycle Lock)

A globally renowned manufacturer in the security sector is seeking a Product Manager to collaborate with talented engineers, oversee complex projects, and ensure compliance with global standards.

Key responsibilities:

As a Product Manager – Bicycle Lock, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality security products.

• Lead and oversee a team of 5 engineers in lock product development, ensuring efficient execution of technical deliverables and project goals
• Coordinate new and modified product concepts, developing detailed project plans and tracking progress against timelines and milestones
• Maintain end-to-end project documentation, including scope and schedule changes, impact analysis, and version control
• Liaise with overseas product managers in Germany and China vendors to resolve technical issues and align product design specifications
• Ensure regulatory compliance across EU and US markets, while leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and technical issues

Candidate profile:

To succeed in this role, you will bring extensive mechanical engineering expertise within manufacturing environments, strong project management skills, and familiarity with international compliance frameworks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 5+ years’ experience in hardware production, precision components, or China-based sourcing
• Proficient in SolidWorks and/or ProE, with strong technical capability in mechanical design tools
• Solid knowledge of material properties and applications, particularly steel, zinc alloy, and plastics in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of EU compliance regulations (REACH SVHC, Phthalates, RoHS, PAHs) and related industry legislation
• Strong project management, cost optimisation, and cross-cultural communication skills; fluent in English and Putonghua, willing to be based in Guangdong, China
