Delivery Manager (Stage, Theme Park, Theater)
A leading global provider of live event solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to join its site delivery team in Hong Kong, specialising in theatre and concert projects.
You will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary technical teams through the full project lifecycle, from planning to commissioning and handover. Key responsibilities:
As Operations Manager – Theatre and Concert Site Delivery, you will lead and support a diverse technical workforce to ensure the successful delivery of complex live event projects across the region.
- Lead team management, coaching, and professional development, including performance feedback, 1:1 check-ins, and structured growth and career development planning
- Support recruitment and onboarding, assisting with hiring processes and ensuring new team members are effectively integrated into the department
- Build and sustain a high-performance, inclusive, and mindful leadership culture, aligned with organisational leadership principles and behaviours
- Manage scheduling coordination, including workforce planning, shift allocation, time-off management, and resolution of scheduling conflicts with department leadership
- Serve as the primary scheduling point of contact, ensuring clear communication between teams and business stakeholders and maintaining scheduling systems accuracy
- Oversee department operations, including maintaining training and certification records, ensuring compliance with industry and legislative requirements
- Manage training and compliance logistics, including booking courses and ensuring all team qualifications remain current and up to date
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and uniform inventories, ensuring stock levels are sufficient and purchasing needs are addressed proactively
- Monitor and approve working hours and variable shifts, ensuring compliance with regional labour laws while balancing operational and employee needs
Candidate profile:
You are an experienced operations or people leader with a strong background in technical environments, capable of managing complexity while building strong, inclusive teams.
- Proven experience coaching and developing technical teams, including performance management and structured skills development planning
- Strong ability to interpret complex schedules and manage staffing requirements across multiple projects or operational demands
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across diverse teams
- English proficiency equivalent to HKDSE Level 4 or above required; fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly preferred
- Familiarity with regional labour practices, safety standards, and cultural norms within Hong Kong or the broader APAC region
- Ability to work in hybrid environments (office and active site locations) and travel internationally when required to support project delivery and teams
