AVP - Risk Management (Blue-Chip company)
Location: Hong Kong
Our client is seeking a seasoned AVP for their Risk & Opportunity Management department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, where you will have the chance to shape and influence commercial decisions through effective risk management. You will be instrumental in cultivating a strong and healthy risk and resilience culture across the company, guiding team members and leading change in processes and procedures.
What you'll do:
As an AVP in Risk & Opportunity Management, your role will be pivotal in shaping the company's commercial decisions.
- Participate in oversight, critique, review and reporting of the Company’s commercial activities
- Assess internal & external emerging risks, establish key risk indicators with stakeholders
- Liaise with relevant Risk & Opportunity Champions to evaluate collected information
- Provide insights on risk and opportunity implications to company’s managers
- Facilitate Risk & Opportunity Management Committee meetings
- Support in developing a strong risk and resilience culture across the company
- Guide team members on delivering outputs effectively and efficiently
- Actively participate in cross-departmental task forces and ad-hoc assignments
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this AVP - Risk & Opportunity Management position brings a wealth of experience and knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance / business / engineering / information technology
- At least 15 years’ working experience, extensive risk management background would be an advantage
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a commercial focus
- Commercial awareness and ability to sift through complex situations to identify pertinent risks and opportunities
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good leadership, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
