Pricing Manager | Global Law Firm | 75k

A leading international law firm is seeking a Pricing Manager to drive strategic pricing and commercial performance across its Hong Kong office and cross-border matters.

This role focuses on enhancing profitability, improving pricing governance, and delivering high-quality financial insights to senior stakeholders. You will work closely with partners and global teams in a collaborative, high-performing environment that values innovation and commercial excellence.

Key responsibilities:

You will lead the development of pricing strategies and financial frameworks that support both local and international legal work while ensuring alignment with firmwide commercial objectives.

• Prepare commercial fee proposals and AFAs (fixed fee, blended, success fees) for local and cross-border matters, aligned with global rate policies
• Build matter budgets, monitor budget-vs-actual and update forecasts to protect realisation and margins
• Run matter/client profitability reviews; identify write-offs/discounts and recommend actions to improve realisation
• Consolidate monthly/quarterly international pricing dashboards (realization, WIP, margin by matter/practice) for regional/global stakeholders
• Maintain pricing playbooks, rate books and templates; partner with IT/BI to improve data capture and reporting dashboards
• Advise Partners and procurement on commercial terms; deliver training on budgeting and pricing governance

Candidate profile:

You are an experienced pricing or finance professional within a law firm or professional services environment, with strong analytical capability and stakeholder-facing confidence.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Law or related field
• 5+ years in pricing/practice finance or commercial finance; law firm/professional services experience with international exposure preferred
• Advanced Excel; experience with matter/billing systems (Elite/3E, Aderant) and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
• Strong stakeholder management and clear executive reporting skills
