The role focuses on group reporting, consolidations and investor‑related reporting, with direct involvement in ad hoc M&A and strategic projects. About the Business

Our client is a fast‑growing group with expanding regional operations and increasing engagement with external investors. The business is scaling its finance function to support more sophisticated group reporting, investor communication and strategic growth initiatives, including M&A.

The Role

This is a high‑impact role within the finance team, reporting directly to senior finance leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in group financial reporting and consolidation, support investor-related reporting, and provide hands-on support for ad hoc M&A and strategic projects.

The role can be scoped at Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager level, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Group Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidated financial statements
  • Manage consolidation workings, intercompany eliminations and reconciliation processes
  • Support group close processes and ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with implementation and improvement of group reporting policies and procedures

Investor & Management Reporting

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for investors, Board and senior management
  • Support preparation of investor presentations, financial packs and performance analysis
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure data consistency and clarity in reporting

M&A & Strategic Projects

  • Support ad hoc M&A projects, including financial analysis, due diligence and post‑acquisition integration
  • Assist with business modelling, scenario analysis and valuation support
  • Work closely with internal teams and external advisers (Big 4, legal, corporate finance)

Audit & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as key contact for external auditors and advisers
  • Support audit, regulatory and compliance requirements at group level
  • Partner with business units to improve financial transparency and performance insights

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with big 4 trained background
  • 10+ years of experience with solid commercial experience in a listed company, group business or fast‑growing environment
  • Strong hands‑on experience in group reporting and consolidations
  • Experience preparing analysis and reports for investors or senior management
  • Exposure to or involvement in M&A projects (due diligence, integration, modelling) is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Qualified Accountant (HKICPA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with consolidation systems is a plus
