Finance Manager | Travel to Thailand | Manufacturing & SEA exp

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee financial and operational activities for its manufacturing operations in Thailand.

This role will be based in Hong Kong with frequent travel to Thailand, partnering closely with on-site teams to ensure strong financial governance, operational efficiency, and business performance.

Key responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee full spectrum of finance functions for Thailand operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management reports and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with group policies, local regulations, and statutory requirements
• Manage year-end audits, tax filings, and liaise with external auditors and advisors

Business Partnering

• Act as a key finance business partner to operations teams in Thailand
• Provide insights and recommendations to drive cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability
• Support strategic planning, capex evaluation, and investment analysis

Factory & Operational Finance

• Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory management, and cost control initiatives
• Analyse production performance, margin trends, and operational KPIs
• Work closely with plant management to improve processes and financial discipline

Internal Controls & Governance

• Strengthen internal control frameworks and ensure adherence to policies
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures across operations
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and systems

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with cross-border teams across Hong Kong and Thailand
• Provide clear and effective communication with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Support senior management with ad hoc analysis and reporting

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent) is preferred
• Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to manufacturing or industrial sectors
• Strong understanding of plant/factory finance and cost accounting
• Proven experience in business partnering and working with regional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel frequently to Thailand
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Thai or Cantonese/Mandarin is an advantage
