Finance Manager – SFC Reporting & Controls (Securities Firm)

A financial institution in Hong Kong seeks a Finance Manager to oversee SFC reporting, strengthen regulatory controls, and drive compliance and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

As a Finance Manager, you will manage regulatory reporting, enhance controls, and improve finance processes through automation.

• Interpret and monitor Hong Kong SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR) requirements across licensed activities
• Prepare and review regulatory financial reports to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Establish governance and control frameworks for regulatory data and submissions
• Support regulatory projects including stress testing, policy implementation, and ad hoc reporting
• Drive process and system enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and automation
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and front office teams to validate financial data
• Enhance integrated reporting systems and support data-driven finance and analytics initiatives

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring regulatory finance experience, strong SFC FRR knowledge, and expertise in reporting and controls.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage
• 5+ years’ experience in financial or regulatory reporting within investment banks, securities firms, or Big 4
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory frameworks, particularly SFC FRR requirements
• Solid technical accounting expertise with strong attention to detail and risk-control awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
