Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role oversees end‑to‑end accounting, treasury and financial management for a stable subsidiary of a Hong Kong conglomerate. The Finance Manager leads a small team, manages reporting, budgeting and cash flow, partners with the business on commercial matters, and drives finance process streamlining and control enhancements.

Our client is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of a well‑established Hong Kong conglomerate, operating a stable and profitable business. The group maintains strong governance standards, disciplined financial management and a long‑term outlook. To support ongoing operations and continuous improvement, they are seeking an all‑rounded Finance Manager to lead finance operations and partner closely with the business.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will take ownership of end‑to‑end finance and accounting, treasury management, and finance process streamlining for the subsidiary. The role combines hands‑on technical responsibility with finance business partnering, team leadership, and ongoing process and control enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee full set of accounts including month‑end and year‑end closing, general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, provisions and accruals
  • Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, financial statements and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with HKFRS, group accounting policies, statutory and internal control requirements
  • Manage external audit processes and liaise with auditors, tax advisors and regulators
  • Handle tax compliance matters including profits tax, withholding tax and related filings

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Take full responsibility for treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and working capital optimisation
  • Manage banking relationships, facilities, guarantees and account administration
  • Oversee payment controls, authorisation workflows and treasury risk management
  • Support group treasury requirements, reporting and adherence to group treasury policies

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles
  • Perform variance analysis, identify performance drivers and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide regular financial insights to management on profitability, cost control and efficiency

Finance Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational and management teams
  • Support commercial initiatives through financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment evaluations
  • Translate financial results into clear, practical insights to support decision‑making

Process Streamlining & Internal Controls

  • Review, standardise and streamline finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability
  • Strengthen internal controls, documentation and workflows in line with group standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and automation where appropriate
  • Participate in group‑wide finance projects and process harmonisation initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • Qualified accountant (HKICPA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant finance experience, with experience working in engineering, industrial, logistics or related industry would be advantageous
  • Solid experience in full set accounting, treasury and cash management
  • Proven people management or supervisory experience

  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance controls and business needs

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both finance and non‑finance stakeholders

Language & Systems

  • Proficient in English and Chinese
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills
