An organisation in Hong Kong seeks a Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, controls, and compliance across Hong Kong and PRC entities while supporting governance and business growth.

Key responsibilities:

As Financial Controller, you will oversee financial operations across Hong Kong and PRC entities, manage reporting and compliance, support budgeting and forecasting, and lead cost control and team development.

• Lead full accounting and month-end close for Hong Kong and PRC entities
• Ensure accurate group, management, and statutory reporting in line with accounting standards and regulations
• Oversee consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity across regions
• Manage audits, tax, and statutory filings with external auditors and advisors
• Strengthen internal controls, finance policies, and SOPs to enhance governance and efficiency
• Analyse manufacturing costs, inventory, and variances to support business decisions
• Partner with cross-functional teams and support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and lead finance team development

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring multi-entity finance experience, full-set accounting expertise (incl. China), manufacturing costing knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative, leadership mindset.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with HKICPA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification
• Experience in financial controllership or finance management, ideally in manufacturing or multi-entity environments
• Strong knowledge of HK and PRC accounting, tax, statutory compliance, and reporting requirements
• Experience in full-set accounting for PRC operations essential
• Exposure to manufacturing finance, including inventory, costing, and production processes preferred
• Strong analytical skills, control mindset, and attention to detail
• Excellent English and Chinese communication skills; Mandarin preferred for PRC liaison
