A fast-growing energy and infrastructure platform in Hong Kong seeks a Chief Financial Officer. Following a recent acquisition and rapid expansion, the business has evolved into a multi-brand operator with strong presence across both B2B and emerging B2C segments.

  • Newly created CFO role supporting a fast-scaling, PE-backed energy platform following recent M&A expansion
  • Lead post-acquisition integration, finance transformation, and commercial partnering across B2B and growing B2C business
  • High visibility role working closely with CEO and regional stakeholders within a cross-border operating environment

This role represents a critical leadership position, responsible for driving post-M&A integration, strengthening financial infrastructure, and partnering closely with the CEO to support the next phase of growth. The successful candidate will operate within a regional structure, collaborating with overseas headquarters while maintaining full ownership of the Hong Kong finance function.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic & Leadership

  • Partner closely with the CEO to define and execute business and financial strategy during a period of transformation and growth
  • Act as a key member of the leadership team, providing commercial insights to support decision-making
  • Lead communication with shareholders and regional stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader group objectives

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee full spectrum of finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Deliver timely and accurate management reporting with strong focus on performance visibility and financial discipline
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements

Post-M&A Integration & Transformation

  • Lead finance integration of newly acquired business units, harmonising systems, processes, and reporting structures
  • Identify and drive synergies, cost optimisation, and operational efficiencies
  • Build scalable finance processes to support continued business expansion

Commercial & Operational Finance

  • Partner with business leaders to optimise pricing, margins, and profitability across both B2B and B2C channels
  • Support data-driven decision making through enhanced FP&A capabilities and KPI tracking
  • Monitor key business drivers, including cost fluctuations and revenue performance

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance team within a growing organisation
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance, and financial processes in line with best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems and workflows

Candidate profile:

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or related discipline, with professional qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a CFO / Finance Director capacity, ideally within a scaling, post-M&A or transformation environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to partner with business stakeholders
  • Hands-on, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organisation
  • Experience working within regional or cross-border structures preferred
  • Prior exposure to energy, utilities, logistics, or asset-heavy industries is advantageous but not essential
